Not many people go for a walk in the supermarket for fun, but I do. I have an electronic eye that converts light into sound to enable me to “hear” color– so the cleaning product aisle is very exciting. The rows of rainbow-colored bottles sound like a symphony to me.
Cyborg Project is a transmedia documentary about the experience of not perceiving colors and the world of cyborgs. The different parts of the project are intended to invite the user to experience different ways of perceiving and relating to the world of color. But the Cyborg Project is more than that: it turns people into cyborgs with the aim of expanding their senses and abilities by creating and applying cybernetic extensions to the human body.
The transmedia project includes the following parts: Cyborg Project Website (1); Cyborg Foundation Website (2); Audiovisual Documentary / In a multicolor chip (3); Interactive Documentary / In a multicolor chip (4); Eyeborgapp: mobile application for Android + iOS (5); Neil Harbisson personal website (6); Platform Games (7).
